Please notice that your Oticon hearing aids may not be fully charged (if rechargeable). Also, batteries are not in the provision of the sales of your hearing aids and need to be purchased by the patient.

Please notice a pack of Oticon silicon domes (sometimes two packs in different sizes) and a pack of disposable wax guards are in the box. Try different size domes (if provided in different sizes) for the best fit; push them in as much as possible. Often better to wiggle them as the ear canal often is not straight. Domes should feel comfortable in your ear canal, not too loose or tight. If they are too loose try the bigger size dome. If too loose there is a chance of hearing feedback (whistling). The domes can be replaced about every 6 months.

The wax guards on your Oticon hearing aids must be replaced only if the little speaker that goes into your ear canal is plugged in by earwax. Daily cleaning of the domes with a damp wipe would warrant the smooth operation of your hearing aids and avoid frequent replacement of the wax guard. Please refer to the small Oticon brochure in your box or the Oticon website for tips on cleaning your hearing aids.

Please notice that your Oticon hearing aids are registered with Oticon UK for a 5-year UK warranty and aftercare (1-year International warranty).

Please follow this link to connect your Oticon hearing aids to your smartphone and the Oticon Companion app. This is required if you need to book online support and reprogramming.

We always emphasise safeguarding your Oticon hearing aids against loss and theft. You can get an insurance policy for your hearing aids through our partner, or by adding your hearing aids under Personal Belongings in your Home Insurance Policy so you can claim the cost of a replacement in case you lose them.

How to prepare your Oticon hearing aids for a remote Support Telecare session?
If you need help to adjust or tune up the sound of your Oticon hearing aids you purchased from HearingNow we can do it for you over a Remote Support. Please follow these steps:

At the time of the appointment make sure that your hearing aids are charged and connected to your smartphone and Oticon Companion app. Also, your smartphone is connected to a high-speed Wifi.

Open the Oticon Companion app, and tap on the More button at the bottom of the app screen.

On the next page tap on RemoteCare.

On the next page tap on Create Account. use your email address to create an account with Oticon.

Login to the account. Then come back to the RemoteCare screen and choose Waiting Room.
The communication will start and you will be able to see your audiologist on the Phonak App.
